Someone I used to know reappeared. I thought that person was gone.

Some people don't deserve second chances.

It's important that they know that.

But even if they don't, I'm a big girl.

It's not like I haven't been handling mine and other people's business since Jinpei was a baby. And I wasn't all that old myself either.

In other thoughts, Joe, I'm not worried so much as curious, what're you planning...if anything?

I need to work on my bike. Or reorganize the bar. Or talk Jinpei into bake something special.

One of the things about being a post-modern woman, is that I'm as handy with a knife in the kitchen as I am outside of it. Actually, I'm a lot better with a knife outside of the kitchen, now that I think of it. Jinpei's the chef of the family.

Right this minute, I'm not planning anything, Jun.

Katse gets this one chance to prove he's as sincere as he says about changing his ways.

He blows it, all bets are off. We call the others, and we ...to borrow a phrase I picked up here, "kick it up a notch."

I'm certain Katse knows exactly how I feel about our mutual past and how tolerant I will be if he tries any of his typical shit here.

Okay, g2

Well, I've got contingency plans should you change your mind. And I've got contingency plans if he blows his chance.

You know my standard contingency plans.

They involve violence.

Anything else is just superflous details.

But of course, the backup is appreciated. No telling how many goons he may have in the woodworks, waiting.

:giggles:

As our gunner, it really wasn't your job to tell. Believe me, the ways of 'telling how many' are many.

Your standard contigency plans are elegant in their simplicity.

Oh, it was part of my job to tell.

But it was more fun pissing Ken off by refusing to care how many, let alone bother to tell how many.

Currently? None. Well, there's IOU Campus Security, but they wouldn't notice you if you were wearing an international safety orange birdstyle and carrying a large sign reading I AM A NINJA ASSASSIN, PLEASE ATTEMPT TO ARREST ME.

And for the record, none of the Iron Chefs or the Kitchen cooks are current or former Galactor agents. (But you know that already. You infiltrated enough of our bases, you should remember what the cafeterias were like.)

...

There are days I'm thankful for the holes in my memory, Katse. And then you "helpfully" fill one for me.

The cafeterias were bad but the locker rooms were worse.
